If you are looking for Williamsburg VA homes for sale you will eventually need to take a break and get something to eat. If you have recently relocated in your search for Williamsburg homes you may not yet know the area enough to know what restaurants are available or whether or not they are good. Although there are many available places to eat in Williamsburg, some of my personal favorites are listed below to help you in your search for food while you are searching for Williamsburg real estate. Although not a complete list, these are a few of my personal favorites and I have included brief descriptions of each.

Informal dining: indoors and outdoors. Pit barbeque, beef brisket, hot dogs, etc. A lot of fun after 5 p.m…Enjoy Gambols – light food and drinks, balladeers and games from 18th century Williamsburg.
Christiana Campbell’s Tavern | Waller Street near the Capitol | Williamsburg, VA 23185
Known for its crab cakes, Gloucester chicken, filet of beef with crab-stuffed shrimp, fritters, and spoon bread. This was one of George Washington’s favorite places to eat in Williamsburg! (Open seasonally)
King’s Arms Tavern | Duke of Gloucester Street | Williamsburg, VA 23185
The most elegant of the taverns, this tavern often served the statesmen and gentry. Well known for its peanut soup, fried oysters, lamb, pork tenderloin, prime rib, and pecan pie.

This tavern will allow you to experience what an 18th Century Williamsburg Coffeehouse was like. Light food, pastries, wraps and gumbo. It also hosts the Williamsburg Tavern Ghost walks or talks nightly.

The trellis is a local favorite. This nationally acclaimed restaurant features regional items, many of which are grilled over an open fire. Try the cheesecake for lunch (not what you’re thinking!) and Death by Chocolate for dessert!
